Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's Lofaso invites guests to explore her inner world by the food she cooks. She developed a curiousity about food and cooking after moving from suburbs of Long Island to the diverse culture that is Los Angeles. The belief that cavatelli and carnitas are able to coexist effortlessly on a menu portrays a style that continues to evolve. However, what is consistent in all of her dishes is an unifying vision of the future, while also reminiscing about the old. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso and is influenced by her Italian American heritage. It received the warmest welcome. The old-fashioned Italian rendition is widely regarded as one of Los Angeles' most captivating eateries. The restaurant serves delicious and consistent dishes at Scopa which is a favorite of the neighborhood. Its patrons describe it as authentic and satisfying. Lofaso worked under culinary greats to learn their refined methods. However, she was not afraid making bold choices to honor her gut instincts. She soon rose to the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago, and then went further to collaborate with celebs in several Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso launched Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. Lofaso had found home in the Black Market. The collaboration could provide the creative freedom Lofaso longed for. Black Market has no one idea in its head and is the same way. This course would begin with dill-flavored potato chips, Shishito peppers, and follow up with Korean Wings. What binds this diverse assortment of flavours is Antonia. Lofaso, throughout her career, has measured success by how well she understands her viewers. Also, she stays true to who she is. She's been on of a variety of television shows such as Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars and Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents are still being showcased as a judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup. Lofaso has teamed up with Penguin to publish The Busy Mom's Cookbook - 100 Recipes For quick Delicious Home Cooked Meals in 2012. This book also reveals the story of her struggle as a mother of Xea and studying at her school, the French Culinary Institute. Lofaso claims that the motivation behind all of her success comes from the kitchen. This is how she keeps a pulse of the latest happenings. She has revolutionized the industry's aesthetic by redesigning chef wear for style and functionality, through her brand Chefletics. Lofaso believes that sticking to your vision is important. To achieve her goals, she launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. It allows customers to enjoy a truly personal service.
