Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America is an actress and singer. The parents of Kristen Bell include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Her family was born in Huntington Woods Michigan. She is from Polish origin (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her talents in entertainment from a young stage of her life. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency just before she turned 13; she later appeared on television commercials and newspaper ads. In the same year, she also began private acting lessons. Bell played an uncredited part of Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school and she took home the part as Dorothy. After graduating, Bell made the move into New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts, where she learned about musical theatre. In 2001, Bell went to university and decided to portray the character of Becky in Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in is cut off and only the credits display her. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell made an appearance as a character in The Crucible, a Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
