Amy Smart

Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. She was born and raised in California in the USA. Her modeling career began in Italy. She made her acting debut in 1996, when she appeared in the TV film "Her Costly Affair". Her struggle was to find the role of a main character on Starship Troopers, despite having been in a variety of movies. The transition between modelling and acting because models aren't considered to be good actors, and they're often given minor and unimportant part. Amy did not give up. She surpassed her roles from the series '70s' and the feature film Varsity Blues. In 2005, she was cast on the lead role in the romantic comedy 'Just friends'. Ryan Reynolds also appeared. The film was a major film at the box office and Amy had finally found the recognition she'd been trying for for more than a decade. Amy continued working in significant films like "Crank" which starred Jason Statham.
